Think Secret berichtet aus highly reliable sources das es ein 17” und ein 20” Modell geben wird. Ausserdem soll es für den Education Bereich eine abgespeckte Version des 17er geben.

Die Preise sollen zwischen 1300$ und 2200$ liegen. Das käme auf die zur Zeit für den europäischen Markt üblichen 2499? raus.

Das (Pizzabox) Design ist weiterhin unbekannt wird von Think Secret aber mit “impressive” und “an eye catcher” beschrieben. Das einzige Gerät das dem neuen iMac nahe kommen könnte ist wohl der Sony VAIO W700G. Allerdings sei dazu gesagt:

“It’s not fair to compare the new iMac to the Sony model,” said a source. “But it’s the closest thing to it that currently exists.”

Noch 17 läppische Tage, dann ist Keynote Zeit und wir alle sind schlauer. Die Specs hören sich für mich gut an allerdings ist der RAM Ausbau nicht wirklich zeitgemäß und die Grafikkarte darf auch ruhig eine Nummer größer ausfallen. Immerhin sollte da Doom 3 drauf laufen… Ebenfalls brennden interessant finde ich die Möglichkeit eines digitalen 5.1 Audio Ausgangs.

Wir werden sehen, 17 Tage noch. Ich geh und such meine Johanniskraut Kapseln…
