Der neueste Linux Kernel ist da. Das Changelog listet viele interessante Neuigkeiten auf.

Ausserdem gibt es frohe Kunde für Leute die ihre Apple Notebooks mit Linux betreiben. Die Herrenschmidtschen Sleep Patche sind jetzt im Vanilla Kernel integriert und scheinen gut zu laufen.

Some reports show that the patch works fine (as it was working when it was not included :)) and that some problems of laptop not resuming when usb devices are plugged-in are now solved. This is not related to the code of the sleep patch, but to changes in the usb support in the kernel. Usb still seems a bit tricky when talking about sleep/wake-up.

Zur Zeit ist mein iBook OS X only, aber vielleicht werde ich ja eines Tages doch noch mal ein Linux aufziehen…
